2009 marks the tenth anniversary of ITPro, Books24x7’s flagship product. ITPro began in 1999 as a small collection of IT and computer books that grew quickly to an award-winning collection of over 8,400 titles today with contributions from top name publishers such as John Wiley & Sons, McGraw-Hill Professional, Microsoft Press, Apress, and hundreds more.
Over 10 years ago as the Internet was in its earliest stages, Books24x7 had a vision of digitizing reference books so they could be easily accessed and searchable through the Web. Individuals would have unlimited 24x7 access to a library of personalized reference content whether at work, at home, traveling, or in school. ITPro emerged as Books24x7’s first product line and rapidly became a global success. As the trend towards digitizing content has advanced in the past decade, the concept of ITPro as a digital information service has resonated strongly with customer needs.
