SkillSoft Expands German Offerings with New German-Focused KnowledgeCenter

New award-winning learning portal supports training and development for global organizations

NASHUA, N.H.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--SkillSoft today announced a new German-focused KnowledgeCenter to support international organizations with their global training and development programs. SkillSoft, a leading SaaS provider of e-learning and performance support solutions for global enterprises, government, education and small to medium-sized businesses, created the SkillSoft Office 2010 KnowledgeCenter in the German language, expanding SkillSoft's international footprint in content and support. The new localized content allows learners to gain knowledge through articles, courses and online books in German, including hands-on Practice Labs allowing business professionals to learn and use Office 2010 skills in a real-time environment.

A SkillSoft KnowledgeCenter is a pre-packaged, user-friendly learning portal that allows learners instant access to trusted, targeted content. Each KnowledgeCenter includes material specifically chosen to help learners build knowledge around a topic as quickly and efficiently as possible.

"SkillSoft is a global company and we understand the training and development needs of organizations across the world," said John Ambrose, senior vice president, strategy, corporate development and emerging business, SkillSoft. "We continue to invest in localized content, creating content from scratch in various languages, so we can offer support to customers wherever they have offices and employees. The more efficiently learners can access the information they need, especially in their native language; the faster they can apply that knowledge to their jobs."

KnowledgeCenter resources include selections from Books24x7; SkillSoft courseware organized into Learning Roadmaps that make it easy for learners to locate and use the most appropriate courses for their needs, simulations (through SkillSims, practice labs, or the Project Center), expert mentoring services (for IT KnowledgeCenters and the PMI KnowledgeCenter); and featured topic spotlights, refreshed regularly, to provide an in-depth focus on particular topical areas.
