SkillSoft Introduces New Blended Learning Resources to Support Business e-Learning Programs

New Tools are Designed to Help Organizations Align and Customize Content from SkillSoft Business Courses to their Unique Workplace Challenges

NASHUA, N.H.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--SkillSoft, a leading SaaS provider of e-learning and performance support solutions for global enterprises, government, education and small-to-medium-sized businesses, today announced its new Blended Learning Resources, a collection of tools designed to help organizations leverage the instructional content from 100 of SkillSoft's most popular business skills courses, and through facilitated and guided activities, apply the knowledge gained to their own workplace situations. Blended Learning Resources have been created for use in conjunction with SkillSoft's Business Skills Courseware Collection and encourage additional learning and exploration of concepts, tools and techniques presented in the courses.

Blended Learning is a combination of activities, including online learning, classroom instruction or other training modalities to help develop new knowledge and skills and transfer it to the workplace. The focus of the Blended Learning Resources is to help managers present, engage and reinforce with their teams the subject matter contained in SkillSoft's most popular business skills courses, and to align that learning with the needs of their departments and teams.

SkillSoft's Blended Learning Resources serve as enhancements to SkillSoft's existing business courses and each includes:

"Blended Learning Resources are designed to provide managers with a variety of tools and activities to help their teams to directly apply the knowledge learned from SkillSoft courses to address issues and challenges within their organizations," said Russ Howard, director, content programs, SkillSoft. "We also chose to design these resources using familiar applications including PowerPoint and Word, in order to make it easy for clients to brand and customize the materials so that they align more closely with their specific learning objectives.

On December 14, SkillSoft will be presenting a complimentary webinar on Blended Learning. The webinar, "Blended Learning: Critical Design Decisions," will focus on the key points to consider when developing blended learning programs. Attendees will receive supporting materials designed to help them put the ideas presented into action.
