New Course Provides Training for Organizations on the Customer Service Standard
NASHUA, N.H.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--SkillSoft, a leading software-as-a-service (SaaS) provider of e-learning and performance support solutions for global enterprises, government, education and small-to-medium-sized businesses, today announced a new e-learning course for the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA). SkillSoft has partnered with Toronto-based Sherrard Kuzz, LLP, one of Canada's leading employment and labor law firms, to develop a new e-learning course focused on educating employees about their obligations under the AODA and the Accessibility Standards for Customer Service (Customer Service Standard). The course, which can be customized to include the employer's accessibility plan and other resources, is specifically designed to address the Customer Service Standard's training mandate.

The course will also teach employees what to do if someone has difficulty accessing the organization's goods or services."
The goal of the AODA is to achieve better accessibility for all individuals with disabilities by 2025. The first Accessibility Standard to come into force under the AODA is the Customer Service Standard which is aimed at making goods and services more accessible to persons with disabilities. The Customer Service Standard applies to organizations that provide goods or services to members of the public or other third parties and that have at least one employee in Ontario.
