SkillSoft, a leading provider of e-learning and performance support solutions, has formed a key alliance with the Australian Institute of Business Analysis (AIBA) to become the exclusive accredited e-learning solutions provider in support of AIBA's National Competency Framework for Business Analysis.
SkillSoft customers can now provide their employees with industry recognised credentials for their BA professionals in helping to improve and enhance organisational capability against a proven framework.
By enlisting an AIBA accredited training provider, SkillSoft customers can save valuable time and money on the selection of appropriate and targeted training programs, and at the same time, have the opportunity to learn how to use new tools, approaches and techniques to improve job performance.
According to SkillSoft Regional Director, Australia and New Zealand, Maryanne Puli, SkillSoft's learning and performance support resources have been aligned to AIBA's Competency Framework which sets out a pathway for competency development where progression is based on a number of levels.
"This includes increasing skills across a comprehensive set of business analysis competencies, adopting the mindset required to ensure that the analysis is conducted in the right context and creating maximum value for the organisation," she said.
"There will also be the opportunity to develop the ability to apply these skills to more complex, more organisationally significant and higher value issues which have greater organisational impact."
According to AIBA CEO, Aldo Antolli, SkillSoft's alliance with AIBA will create enormous benefits across the board of SkillSoft customers in Australia and New Zealand.
"On an individual level, this collaboration will have employees' professional voice heard as part of Australia and New Zealand's premiere competency body for BA professionals," he said.
"On a corporate level, it is a proven and established competency framework supported by resource planning solutions to drive standards which are accepted across corporate and government. These standards are specifically designed for and by Australian industry. The AIBA provides employees with industry recognised credentials ensuring organisations offer this value-add to their staff involved in any form of business analysis."

The Australian Institute of Business Analysis (AIBA) is the peak competency organisation for the Business Analysis profession in Australia. The AIBA was established at the behest of a consortium of major Australian organisations to address the growing concern from Business Owners that a lack in critical thinking and business analysis capability is having a major impact on the ability to deliver intended business outcomes. The objective of the AIBA is to professionalise Business Analysis in Australia and is currently overseeing the rollout and implementation of a National Standard for Business Analysis competency certification.
AIBA has developed technical standards designed for and by Australian and New Zealand employers and their staff in its establishment of a national competency certification for the business analysis community.
