Skillsoft, via Skillport® learning management system, is hosting professional development content in the form of online training courses and vodcasts for over 21,000 Information and Communication Technology (ICT) professionals through its new partnership with leading professional ICT association, the Australian Computer Society (ACS).
Skillsoft is also providing elearning courses to the ACS membership, including 50 online Skillsoft courses focusing on professional skills, which will be on offer to support the next generation of ICT leaders, including 2,500 student members across Australia. Courses include topics such as managing your career, presentation skills, business planning and budgeting essentials.
Skillsoft is an innovative pioneer in the field of learning who provides cloud-based learning solutions for its customers worldwide.
These Skillsoft courses will contribute to ACS members' Continuing Professional Development (CPD) hours, which focus on improving the user's ability to perform their job by extending their knowledge and skills. ACS members have a professional obligation to plan and participate in CPD activities that are tailored to meet their needs and develop their career.
According to ACS CEO, Alan Patterson, the partnership with Skillsoft will provide the ACS' membership base with access to innovative and contemporary learning opportunities that will give them invaluable skill sets in the long term.
"We are implementing strategies to ensure our membership products and services are contemporary and relevant in the digital age, with a focus on higher value digital products and services for members via the ACS website," Mr Patterson said.
