CIPD books available through Books24X7 for the first time

The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) has signed an agreement with Books24x7, the developer of Referenceware and SkillSoft’s subsidiary, to make CIPD’s market-leading publications available online.

Established in 1913, the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) is the UK’s professional body for those involved in the management and development of people. With more than 118,000 current members and a highly respected fortnightly magazine, People Management, the CIPD is the market leader for HR and training information.

The CIPD’s agreement with Books24x7, the developer of online Referenceware ® for IT and business professionals, commences with the introduction of 13 top titles from the Institute’s publishing arm, CIPD Publishing and covers a broad range of issues that are core to the HR and training professions including employee retention; managing redundancy; management development; 360 degree feedback and negotiating tactics (a full list of titles appears in notes to editors). The relationship is ongoing and further titles will be added as they are published – giving HR and training professionals worldwide the opportunity to keep up-to-speed with the very latest developments in people management. The CIPD titles will be added to Books24x7’s BusinessPro collection.

Books24x7’s online Referenceware collections offer users online access to more than 5,000 unabridged IT and business books and reports from more than 85 publishers. Between 25 and 45 titles are added to the collections each week. Through Books24x7’s unique, patent-pending search engine, users can perform detailed, multi-level searches on entire collections, a set of books, or on one specific title.
