To demonstrate how to plan, configure, and use groups to implement administrative, security, and messaging policies and show how to install and configure Terminal Services to facilitate remote administration and thin-client computing

Students preparing for Microsoft exam 70-215 and/or 70-210

Working knowledge of Windows 95, Windows 98, or Windows NT Workstation 4.0 from administrative, support, and architectural perspectives

identify the function of local groups, and the different built-in global, domain local, local and system groups provided by Windows 2000.
identify the steps required for planning a network group strategy, and recognize the guidelines for using universal groups.
identify the appropriate groups for network resource allocation to plan the group structure on a network.
recognize the requirements and purpose of groups, create an Active Directory group and a local group, and identify how to add members to a group.
create a group and add members to a group.
change a group's scope, rename a group, delete a group, and move a group from one organizational unit to another.
recognize the purpose and features of Terminal Services, and identify how administrators are able to monitor, configure, and manage the network and server from remote locations.
