Overview/Description
Multiprotocol Label Switching is a technology capable of dramatically improving the performance of any IP network capable of the technology, and can go beyond and enable service providers a powerful and scalable mechanism of providing customer connectivity. This course covers the practical usage of MPLS technology for today’s networks and emparts an awareness of how this complex protocol operates, as well as provides students confidence to use this feature in their own network.

Included Labs:

  • Creating the Core - IGP
  • Creating the Core - Enabling MPLS
  • Initial MPLS VPN Setup
  • Running EIGRP Between PE and CE Routers
  • Running OSPF Between PE and CE Routers
  • Running BGP Between PE and CE Routers
  • Overlapping VPNs
  • Merging Service Providers
  • Common Services VPN
  • Seperate Interface for Internet Connectivity
  • Multisite Internet Access
  • Implementing Basic MPLS TE

Target Audience
MPLS 2.2 is recommended for any individual responsible for designing, implementing, and/or troubleshooting MPLS networks or solutions based on MPLS technology. This course is also targeted at individuals interested in Cisco certifications - especially the CCIP (Cisco Certified Internetwork Professional) CCIP certification and CCIE (Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert).

Prerequisites
