Overview/Description
This course provides students with the skills required to configure and troubleshoot TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and WINS as well as other components in a Windows 2003 network infrastructure.This course will prepare students for Microsoft Certified Professional Exam 70-291, a core credit for becoming a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer.

Target Audience
This course is intended for entry-level IT professionals, new to hands-on Windows server and network administration.

Prerequisites
To fully benefit from this course, students should have a broad base of knowledge and competency in core hardware and operating system technologies including installation, configuration, diagnosing, preventive maintenance and basic networking. Additionally, students should be able to describe the features and functions of networking components, and possesses the knowledge and skills needed to install, configure and troubleshoot basic networking hardware, protocols and services. Completion of Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Environment Management and Maintenance, or equivalent knowledge and skills, is highly recommended.
