As a result, many corporations now require that an individual have the Project Management Professional (PMP®) credential whether for individual advancement within an organization or as a condition of employment.
To be eligible for the PMP®, specific education and work experience requirements must be met, as well as agreement to adhere to a code of professional conduct and the passing of a multiple-choice question exam. Additionally, those granted the PMP® credential must demonstrate an ongoing commitment to professional development and acquire 60 Professional Development Unit (PDU) every three years.

Through this appointment, SkillSoft has been recognized as a provider of project management learning courses that can assist PMI® members, PMP®s and other project management stakeholders in their ongoing professional development.
SkillSoft offers project management courseware that aligns with the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide). These PMBOK aligned titles can be used toward the contact hour requirement, which is a prerequisite to sit for the certification exams (35 contact hours for PMP and 23 for CAPM).
