Certification Management
- Difficult to track and manage certification status of learners
- Multiple vendors add complexity
- Lack of cost control
SkillSoft's Solutions Services group understands that many of our clients need a single provider for a complete blended certification solution. Certifications include standard industry and professional credentials, as well as clients' internally developed blended learning programs.
Working with your existing network of online and classroom learning providers, and with our extensive online curriculum, tools and partner community, SkillSoft's Solution Services group jointly crafts a learning solution that lets you achieve corporate and individual learning goals.
We analyze your existing approach, recommend a blend of learning to more effectively and efficiently achieve your goals, and manage the rollout of the resulting program.
The blended solution leverages a mix of learning assets that enhances the ways in which people learn and provides alternatives that appeal to a wide range of learning styles. It combines instructor assisted e-learning, classroom learning and traditional self-directed learning in a structured program.
Technical certifications include access to virtual labs. A customized technical certification program may include the following assets:
- Pre/post assessments
- SkillSoft e-learning courses
- Online labs
- Mentoring
- Express Guides
- Referenceware®
- Virtual instructor-led review sessions
- Exam test prep
- Exam voucher for certification exam
Soft-skills and client-tailored programs leverage a similarly rich mix of assets.
At the core of the program is the dedicated program manager. At a high level, the program manager's role is to ensure the certification program is successful. The program manager conducts a kick-off presentation to ensure all participants understand the program requirements and time commitments. The program manager also ensures that management oversight leads to personal accountability. Weekly status reports keep program sponsors apprised of the program's progress.
In addition, the program manager monitors all program activity and notifies any participant who is not completing the required assignments on schedule. These communications serve as a strong reinforcement to ensuring that required training is completed.
In order to articulate the required program commitments, a detailed program guide is developed and distributed to all participants. The customized program guide outlines the program requirements and weekly assignments. The guide includes detailed information on how to access and navigate within each of the learning components. The guide, along with the program manager, serves as the main resources throughout the program.
Lastly, all certification exam results are tracked by the program manager and provided to the program sponsors to officially close-out the program.
