The event will be held at Green Valley Ranch Resort, Las Vegas, from May 2 - 5. Attendees will have access to keynotes, breakout presentations and workshops on a variety of topics, such as management training, global deployment of learning initiatives, rapid development, third-party LMS strategies and ROI. Customer presenters and panelists include learning executives from TELUS, Yahoo!, U.S. Office of Personnel Management, Computer Sciences Corporation, Merck, ADP, Mellon Financial Corp., Kronos and University of Iowa.

Attendees may choose to participate in any of five half-day workshops at no additional cost. The workshops, held on May 2, cover SkillPort, SkillSoft's learning management system; rapid development of learning programs; internal marketing; achieving a learning "utopia"; and third-party LMS strategies.

The conference agenda will include three keynote presentations:

  • Greg Priest, SkillSoft's chairman of the board and chief strategy officer, will open the conference with the presentation "On Beyond Objects." Priest will discuss critical challenges to the learning industry that have emerged with increasingly complex learning environments and more ambitious learning goals.
  • Josh Bersin, president and founder of Bersin and Associates, will present "The Evolution of E-Learning: Where Will You Be Tomorrow?" Bersin will discuss preliminary findings of new research sponsored by SkillSoft on the stages of e-learning and the evolution of learning content and architectures.

  • Elliott Masie, president and founder of The Masie Center, will present "Learning Trends and Business Forces," a discussion that encompasses compliance training, use of learning to increase "speed to talent" and the latest trends in learning preferences.

"Our recent research in customer satisfaction highlighted the importance of reaching out to customers," said Bersin. "Events such as these -- where customers can talk directly to vendor employees, learn best practices and network with other professionals -- are integral to customer and vendor success."

The conference will feature several networking events, including an evening of Las Vegas nightlife and conference dinner. SkillSoft will announce the winners of annual awards recognizing industry achievement, learning leadership, e-learning innovation, outstanding learning programs, training administration and use of "instant learning."

The registration fee of $595 includes all keynote and breakout sessions, all networking events and registration for one half-day workshop. Government employees pay $450; a one-day conference pass costs $225. For detailed registration, conference and hotel information, visit
