SkillSoft Books24x7 Adds ITIL 2011 Edition Titles to the ITIL Powered by Books24x7 Collection

31 August 2011

SkillSoft, a leading SaaS provider of e-learning and performance support solutions, today announced the addition of five new ITILŪ 2011 Edition Titles to the ITIL powered by Books24x7 collection.

The 2011 Edition titles added include ITIL Service Transition, ITIL Continual Service Improvement, ITIL Service Design, ITIL Service Operation, and ITIL Service Strategy.

ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) provides a cohesive set of best practices and management procedures for managing IT operations and addressing the organisational structure and skill requirements faced by today's IT organisations.

According to SkillSoft Managing Director APAC and Vice President, Glenn Nott, the addition of the five new ITIL 2011 Edition titles is an important update to the collection and one that SkillSoft customers will find beneficial.

"The updates in the books address suggestions for changes made by the training and user community and industry experts to make ITIL easier to teach and to resolve any errors or inconsistencies in the original V3 texts." he said.

Books24x7 offers online access to the complete ITIL collection through a partnership with The Stationery Office (TSO) and the Best Management Practice, part of the UK Cabinet Office (formally the UK Office of Government Commerce - OGC).

As with other collections, the text of the ITIL collection is fully searchable through Books24x7's unique multi-tier search engine, allowing users to pinpoint precisely the information they need.

In addition, users can add titles from the collection to their personal bookshelves for quick, easy access while also having the ability to create bookmarks and notes for future reference.

These rich, powerful capabilities facilitate on-the-job access to critical information, helping to increase retention and drive performance at all levels of the organization.
