The We-Learning series is a great opportunity for learning professionals to speak with experts from Bersin & Associates on social learning and the latest learning trends and technologies. At our Boston and Berkeley events in June, participants chatted with Bersin & Associates’ Josh Bersin and David Mallon on informal learning issues, measurements and strategies. They were also able to discuss trends in leveraging social learning within corporate training programs, and learn tips and tricks to avoid common pitfalls when implementing these plans.
For instance, to reiterate a point that Josh Bersin mentioned in his blog, one popular topic that David Mellon discussed during the Berkeley conference was that with “we-learning,” instructors and training content must be geared toward the “precise and detailed nature of the audience – their working conditions, daily workplace, familiarity with social tools, and how they gain and use information.”
From what I’ve heard from last month’s participants, the We-Learning events are a great opportunity to get up-to-speed on what’s going on in the social learning industry from experts as well as peers. Attendees learn best practices that can be applied in every day training and learning situations while also sharing their own learning success stories.
We’ve always had a great time at these conferences and are very excited to bring this series to new locations across the country. We hope to see you there!
