Enterprise Learning! Conference & Expo Highlights

By Pam Boiros, Vice President, Corporate Marketing, Skillsoft

The Enterprise Learning! Conference
and Expo
(ELCE) was held in Anaheim, California this week.   The
event is produced by B2B Media Company, the publishers of Elearning! Magazine
and Government Elearning! Magazine.
Co-located with California
HR Conference
, this combined event attracted a few thousand HR, talent and
learning professionals.  The event featured keynote speeches by Liz
Wiseman (who will also be appearing in an upcoming Live Event for
Skillsoft’s Leadership
Development Channel
™ on Oct 16), Dan
Pontefract
of TELUS, Tom Kalinske from LeapPad and more.  In addition,
panels, breakout sessions featuring innovative elearning programs, workshops
and exhibits rounded out the three days.

One of the highlights of the event is the awards
presentation of the Learning! 100 Awards. The Learning! 100 features a ranked order listing of the best
Learning programs and initiatives in organizations today – both in the public
and private sector.  The winners included household names such as Cisco,
Hertz, LinkedIn and Verizon as well as smaller, innovative organizations.
Being included on the Elearning 100 is quite an honor and comes with serious
bragging rights. The full list is in the latest issue.  We were
pleased to see that several Skillsoft customers, who won our own Skillsoft
Global Perspectives Innovation
Awards
in May, got recognized on the Learning! 100, including TELUS (at an
impressive #6), Carrington Mortgage Holdings, Lawrence Livermore National Labs
and more.  In fact, over half of the Learning 100 Award winners are
Skillsoft customers.  We extend our congratulations all of the winners!

Also a highlight for us was the annual Best
of Elearning! Awards. These
awards are presented to vendors based on nominations and votes from the Elearning!
Magazine
readership. Stay tuned for more on how Skillsoft products
ranked in the various award categories. Hint: we needed an extra set of
hands to carry all of our plaques off the stage!
