Returning to school in the fall is an adjustment for
students and parents alike. To help make the transition smoother for families
in need, Skillsoft employees located in the Nashua, NH Corporate Headquarters
and the Nashua R&D office participated in a service project again this year. Departments teamed up together to
purchase 26 new backpacks to provide local children with the tools they need
for back-to-school. Each backpack was stuffed with essential supplies such as
pencils, crayons, notebooks, pocket folders, lunch boxes and more.
The backpacks were donated last Friday to the Front
Door Agency and Anne-Marie
The Front Door Agency is an organization with a rich history of
helping individuals and families in the greater Nashua area transition from
crisis to self-sufficiency by providing a hand-up opportunity to those at risk
of homelessness. The Anne-Marie House supports the needs of children and
families experiencing homelessness as they work to achieve sustainable income,
housing and transportation.
After the backpack drive, Skillsoft employees cooled off from the summer heat with ice cream. All in all, it was a successful project!
