Tomorrow, so many of us are fortunate enough to enjoy a tasty meal with our family and friends. Sadly, there are many in our local communities that are not as lucky. To help families in need, the Employee Activities Committee from Skillsoft’s Corporate Headquarters in Nashua, N.H. rallied employees together to collect supplies.
How did it work? Each department was asked to assemble a basket with the items included in a traditional Thanksgiving meal. Skillsoft provided turkeys to accompany these baskets. Baskets included traditional Thanksgiving “fixings” such as stuffing, vegetables, cranberry sauce and pie supplies as well as extras such as oven mitts, turkey pans, utensils, spices and coloring books.
Together the Nashua employees collected 40 baskets! The baskets and 35 turkeys were donated to multiple non-profit organizations and schools in the Nashua area.
