Skillsoft Employees Participate in Summertime Charity Activities

By Kelley Noblet

As we begin to kick off the summer season, several groups within Skillsoft have been active in their communities, giving back to worthy causes. Employees in the U.S. Corporate headquarters, located in Nashua, N.H., bonded together to help the New Hampshire Veterans Home organization.  For more than a century, the New Hampshire Veterans Home has been a home and a health resource for Granite State armed forces veterans. Established in 1890 as the Soldier’s Home for Civil War Veterans, it has provided care and comfort for thousands who have served our country. Recently, Skillsoft employees collected necessary toiletry items found on the organization’s wish list. In addition, employees provided monetary donations that will go toward the cost of two monthly entertainment events.

On Sunday, June 8 the Skillsoft Team Canada committed to walking in the “JDRF Walk to Cure Type 1 Diabetes” raising funds for research to cure, better treat and prevent type 1 diabetes (T1D)! They had a team of six Skillsoft Regional Account Executives and Learning Consultants with their families (dogs included), walking in this inspiring event. The team’s fundraising goal was $5,000; they were delighted to exceed their goal and raise over $7,000! It was an exceptionally successful philanthropic Skillsoft day!
