Engaging with Federal Learning Leaders

By Anita Heller

The Skillsoft Federal team recently hosted the Federal Learning Leaders Forum: Linking Engagement, Alignment and Performance at NASA Headquarters in Washington, D.C.  We were thrilled to have close to 100 existing and potential customers—representing 60 different Federal agencies—in attendance!

Skillsoft kicked off the event with a presentation on why the topic of employee engagement was chosen, and how Federal learning & development initiatives can support agency engagement programs. This was followed by an exciting keynote presented by Brad Federman on Employee Engagement: Beyond the Survey to provide an industry perspective on employee engagement.

Next, a panel of learning leaders from NASA and FEMA offered their perspective on programs they have been involved with that support employee engagement initiatives at their agencies.

Lastly, Skillsoft facilitated breakout sessions discussing the Skillsoft Learning Growth Model® (LGM) Learning Culture and Learning Alignment/Promotion tools and activities that are available with core services.

The ability to network and share stories and challenges with other customers is always invaluable.  We are already thinking about ways to continue the elearning conversation with Federal learning leaders through virtual collaboration as well as our next in person event!
