New Courses Addressing Key Topics in Legal Compliance

By Charlie Voelker

We are pleased to announce the release of three new courses to our Legal Compliance Solution.

The first is a new Global Export Compliance course designed to help Skillsoft clients address their export obligations. In working with Potomac Law Group (PLC), our subject matter expert partner for this course, we’re now able to address one of the most pressing concerns for global organizations.

According to Roger Banks, Esq., counsel with PLC, “it is hard to think of a business, investment, or research activity today, regardless of its size or subject-matter, that’s unaffected by laws governing exports. Even transactions that take place exclusively within the United States are routinely subject to so-called ‘deemed export’ regulations.

The costs of learning and complying with the laws are small, especially compared to those of defending against government enforcement actions—to say nothing of the potential for enormous penalties for non-compliance. From a cost-benefit perspective, therefore, it’s a no-brainer: businesses need to make sure their personnel understand and follow the rules of export controls. I can think of no better place to start than Skillsoft’s new course on the subject, which is truly outstanding.”

In addition, we have added two new workplace harassment titles to the Legal Compliance elearning Solution:
Workplace Harassment Prevention for Managers – Multi-State Edition, version 2.0

Workplace Harassment Prevention for Employees, version 2.0

These courses will supplement the existing harassment courses in the library to provide clients an even greater variety of content options.
