The UK Apprenticeship Levy comes into effect this April.
Does this sentence strike fear and/or terror into your HR department? Do you know how you will be impacted by the new levy? Have you signed up with the Digital Apprenticeships Service (DAS)?
Have no idea what I’m talking about?
In the Summer 2015 Budget, the Apprenticeship Levy was announced by the government. Its objective is to support productivity growth through increasing training, which will lead to increased profits for business, an increase in the number of apprenticeships and eventually increased wages. Everyone wins.
Who pays for this?
The bill for the levy will fall on both the government’s shoulders and those employers with an annual paybill of more than £3 million. From now on, all apprenticeship training must be provided only by authorised training providers and there are new rules regarding coursework and final examination.
Still confused. Not sure if you signed up to DAS or if your training provider is a registered organization?
Then our free webinar April 2017 Apprenticeship Levy: Everything you need to know is a must.
On Wednesday, March 22, we will explain and tell you everything you need to know, from how the funding works to sub-contracting and more.
It is must for those with responsibility for HR, Learning & Development, Finance or anybody else who wants to know more about the Levy.
