Skillsoft’s digital learning platform tools are disrupting the corporate training market

Josh Bersin, founder and principal of Bersin by Deloitte, recently wrote an interesting article for about how the corporate training market is about to be disrupted by new digital learning tools. We at Skillsoft couldn’t agree more with Josh’s view of the market. In fact, we foresaw this dynamic and invested $40 million over the last 18 months to modernize our platform and content.

Earlier this year we launched Percipio, the industry’s first immersive corporate learning platform. Percipio delivers a simple and intuitive design to engage modern learners with a consumer-led experience to accelerate learning. The state-of-the-art, Netflix style learning platform offers learners the choice of where, when, and how to learn as well as choices of market-leading, multi-modal content, including ebooks, audio books, videos, and courses.

As for our multi-modal content, we used our research from neuroscience that tells us learners need three things in a learning experience: relevance, meaning and emotion, to entirely reimagine our content library with scenario-based, learner-centric, character-led learning. With the world’s largest library of corporate micro-learning assets, Skillsoft now has unrivalled competencies, including Business Skills, Personal Development, Leadership, IT Certification, Program and Project Management, Software Development, Cyber Security, DevOps, Digital Skills and an end-to-end compendium of the leading Compliance and Corporate Certification requirements that organizations demand today.

Skillsoft’s library now runs into more than half a million micro-learning assets – including 130,000 videos & topics, and more than 450,000 authoritative content chapters to complement that courseware, as well as live mentoring and hands-on labs. With this library and these modalities, Skillsoft offers unrivaled access to the largest and most comprehensive set of corporate training assets in the world. Currently, Skillsoft’s content is accessed more than 130 million times a month, in 160 countries and 29 languages.

Don’t just take it from us.

One comment on “Skillsoft’s digital learning platform tools are disrupting the corporate training market”

  • As per the reports from Stratistics MRC, the global E-learning market was accounted for $165.21 billion in 2015. However, the figure is predicted to reach $ 275.10 billion by 2022. I see an immense growth in digital learning market. However there is still gap between the research and implementation process for entrepreneurs. This case study provides enough information. Thanks.
