Live Event Anniversary - Marking a Decade of Live Events

By Heide Abelli

This year we celebrate 10 years of bringing the best and brightest minds in business, innovation, and leadership to our virtual stage. These influential individuals have inspired countless learners on their professional development journeys.  Last year alone, over 20,000 people took advantage of Skillsoft Live events to gain insights from the likes of Adam Grant, John Maxwell, Angela Duckworth and Amy Edmondson.

Leveraged by Fortune 500 companies, Silicon Valley start-ups, and leading organizations across the globe and across all industry verticals, from financial services companies to technology companies to government agencies, Live learning offers an exciting vehicle for people to engage with the most relevant topics in business today and offers exclusive access to top thought leaders right from the convenience of your desk or smartphone.  A powerful learning tool, these events inspire individuals and leaders, bring teams together, and catapult companies forward in ways standard leadership offerings simply do not.

I’m delighted to announce our 2018 Skillsoft Live Event lineup:  a terrific array of experts carefully selected to address critical issues and key competencies that are essential for today’s leaders.

We continue the series in the fall with two highly regarded experts, Margaret Heffernan and Jacob Morgan.

Jacob Morgan

On November 13 we wrap up our 2018 series with Jacob Morgan, author of The Future of Work and The Employee Experience Advantage.  Morgan is a futurist exploring what work is going to look like and how organizations can create employee experiences to drive engagement and productivity.  In this session, Jacob will discuss employee experience vs. employee engagement, how to design and create impactful employee experiences, and what some of the world’s most forward-thinking organizations are doing.

For every Skillsoft Live Event, we provide helpful discussion and facilitation guides, plus we share ways for organizations to promote the event and make it a memorable milestone in any learning calendar.

These Live Events ignite powerful dialogue and learning across organizations and serve as a catalyst for growth and change.  Ideas sparked by business thought leaders and influencers foster new ways of working together, spur innovation, increase productivity and effectiveness and enable leaders to better prepare their organizations for success in the digital age.
