Many organisations collect the personal information of their customers and prospects for a variety of commercial reasons. The information they collect, use, store and share is a valuable asset to the organisation. Employees, through careful adherence to the company’s privacy policies, play an important role in protecting the privacy of that information. This course highlights the types of information that must be protected, as well as privacy laws and standards many companies are required to observe. This course emphasises the importance of following company policies and procedures for data security and what employees should do if they suspect a security breach.
