today announced event information for its annual Skillsoft Perspectives Australia user conference. This year, Perspectives Australia will run over two days, showcasing a suite of speakers, workshops and case studies for the more than150 expected participants Skillsoft, a pioneer in the field of learning with a long history of innovation, hosts the yearly event for its customers as an interactive forum to discuss innovations in the learning industry. The 2012 Skillsoft Perspectives Australia Conference will take place August 15-16 in Sydney and will give attendees the opportunity to network, interact and learn from other learning professionals and industry leaders on how to create and maintain successful learning programs. The theme of this year’s conference is “Motivate, Innovate, Learn: Driving Value Through Learning.”
The keynote speech will be presented by Sue Langley, CEO of Emotional Intelligence Worldwide. In her presentation, Transforming Culture by Leading with Innovation and Fostering Creativity,
Langley will address emotional intelligence, positive psychology and the neuroscience of leadership. She will discuss the functions of the human brain and how emotions can lead to higher levels of creativity and help build cohesive leadership teams by understanding the motivation attached to work activities.

A special workshop on the second day of the conference will focus on talent development reporting principles and will be hosted by Kieran King, Global Director, Loyalty Strategy, Skillsoft.
2012 Skillsoft Perspectives Australia will also play host to the Skillsoft Innovation Awards. These awards honor Skillsoft customers for their significant achievements in learning, recognizing innovative ideas and inspiring leaders who are helping to transform the learning landscape.
