Mark Onisk

Chief Content Officer

Since becoming Chief Content Officer in 2018, Mark has been responsible for leading all aspects of Skillsoft’s content catalogue, including strategic direction, roadmap and development.

Mark previously served SVP of Skillsoft Books, successfully launching the company’s book summary product, increasing the audiobook collection by more than 60% and creating the largest collection of audiobooks in the corporate learning market. Prior to Skillsoft Books, Mark led Skillsoft’s strategic business development, where he worked on cross-functional projects and services teams to deliver integrated learning experiences with key clients.

Mark became Skillsoft’s VP, Content Production after the company acquired Element K in 2011. His career with Element K spanned 15 years, where he was responsible for product strategy, content development and operational execution.

Mark holds an MBA from the Rochester Institute of Technology and Bachelors of Science in Finance and Economics from State University of New York, College at Brockport.

Dan Pontefract is a Renowned Leadership Strategist, author, and keynote speaker with over two decades of experience in senior executive roles at companies such as SAP, TELUS, and Business Objects. Since then, he has worked with organizations worldwide, including Salesforce, Amgen, the State of Tennessee, Nestlé, Canada Post, Autodesk, BMO, the Government of Canada, Manulife, Nutrien, and the City of Toronto, among others.

As an award-winning and best-selling author, Dan has written four books: LEAD. CARE. WIN., OPEN TO THINK, THE PURPOSE EFFECT, and FLAT ARMY. His fifth book, WORK-LIFE BLOOM, will be published in 2023. Dan also writes for Forbes, Harvard Business Review, and other outlets.

Dan is a renowned keynote speaker who has presented at four TED events and has delivered over 600 keynotes . He is an adjunct professor at the University of Victoria's Gustavson School of Business and has received over 25 industry, individual, and book awards.

Dan's career is interwoven with corporate and academic experience, coupled with an MBA, B.Ed, and multiple industry certifications and awards. Notably, Dan is listed on the Thinkers50 Radar, HR Weekly's 100 Most Influential People in HR, PeopleHum's Top 200 Thought Leaders to Follow, and Inc. Magazine's Top 100 Leadership Speakers.

Shannon Costigan

Head, Culture, Leadership & Enterprise Development, BMO Financial Group

As the Head, Culture, Leadership & Enterprise Development for BMO Financial Group (BMO) Shannon is accountable for stewarding and monitoring BMO’s cultural health and leading a portfolio of company wide initiatives to develop world class leaders aligned to BMO’s Purpose and business priorities. She is also responsible for the design and delivery of BMO’s future-focused skills strategy, enterprise learning, and organizational development programs to prepare employees for success in a more fluid, digital and hybrid world.

Shannon joined BMO in the Office of Strategic Management and has held several progressive and diverse roles across People & Culture. She has experience with global front line business unit groups and expertise in a variety of human resource domains including employee listening, learning and development, and talent management. Most recently, Shannon was the Head of Human Resources for BMO’s Wealth & Asset Management business overseeing the human capital strategies to drive the growth of this transforming industry across a global mandate.
