The present book on Automobile Engineering intends to cover the course material for the students of engineering stream. The author, while teaching the subject, always felt the need of a book that could present the matter with simple and proper diagrams. It is an attempt with the same motive.

The book also includes the Motor Vehicle Act as applicable in our country. It is only legal information. As the norm is that the Acts get amended from time to time readers are expected to refer to amendments as and when they come into existence.

About the Author

Sudhir Kumar Saxena has been teaching undergraduate and postgraduate engineering classes for the last twenty five years. He has also been involved in the research activities at postgraduate and Ph.D. levels. His area of specialization is Thermal Engineering apart from Automobile Engineering. He has taught the subject of 'Automobile Engineering' for several years. For the last twenty two years he has been in the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering Department at National Institute of Technology (formerly known as Regional Engineering College), Kurukshetra and is presently working as Professor.
