About the Author

William J. Rothwell , Ph.D., SPHR is winner of the 2011 ASTD Distinguished Contribution to Workplace Learning and Performance award. A frequent presenter and noted author, he has visited every continent except Antarctica to present training. Justin Arneson is a senior scientist with the Human Resources Research Organization. He has extensive experience in job analysis, competency modeling, and test development. Jennifer Naughton is the Senior Director of Competencies & Credentialing at ASTD. She led ASTD's most recent competency model effort and also launched ASTD CIAEs Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP") certification program. She is a people systems architect with more than 20 years of experience in consulting, competency model development, and personnel selection and assessment research.
