About the Author

Robert W. Lucas holds dual roles as president of Creative Presentation Resources, a creative training and products company, and as a founding managing partner for Global Performance Strategies, LLC, an organization specializing in performance-based training and consulting services.

With almost four decades of experience in the fields of adult and workplace learning, Lucas has gained valuable insights that he shares with client organizations. He has designed, marketed, and delivered hundreds of learning events on various workplace and personal development topics to thousands of adult learners from around the world. He uses an interactive, experiential approach to assist organizations and individuals in developing innovative and practical strategies for improved workplace performance. Some of his areas of expertise include presentation skills, creative training and management program development, train-the-trainer, interpersonal communication, adult learning, diversity, customer service, and employee development.

Through presentations to international audiences and clients, articles for an array of publications and websites, and his authoring or contributing to 29 books, Lucas has mastered the art of training. Along the way, he has earned two master’s degrees in human resource development and management/leadership, and has become one of the first training professionals in the world to receive the ASTD National Certified Professional in Learning and Performance designation. He is listed in Who’s Who in the World, Who’s Who in America, and Who’s Who in the South and Southeast.
