About the Author

Peter Aitken has been writing about computers and programming for over 15 years. He has more than 45 books to his credit with over 1.5 million copies in print, as well as hundreds of magazine and trade publication articles. His areas of special interest include Microsoft Office programs, digital imaging, and Visual Basic programming. Aitken is the proprietor of PGA Consulting, providing custom application development and technical writing services to business, academia, and government since 1994. For 18 years, Aitken was a member of the faculty at Duke University Medical Center. He left Duke in 2000 to devote full time to his writing and consulting.
