About the Authors

Brian Benz, CLI, PCLP, has more than 15 years experience in designing and deploying systems infrastructures, designing and developing applications, migrating messaging systems and applications, and managing projects. He has established his expertise and reputation in the Domino, Web, and e-business application development marketplace since 1992 through hands-on experience working on various projects and by making frequent contributions as a writer, including the IBM Redbook XML: Powered by Domino, the upcoming XML Programming bible (Wiley Publishing, Inc., 2003), and trade publications such as Lotus Advisor, e-Business Advisor, WebSphere Advisor, and e-Pro magazine. Brian also provides custom technical training to large and small organizations all around the world, and is also a popular technical event speaker for IBM, Advisor Media, and the View at venues worldwide. Brian is CEO of Benz Technologies.

Rocky Oliver began his “Lotus geek” existence with Lotus Development’s Word Processing Division in 1992. A wizened veteran of Lotus technologies, he ahs since led the development team of a large national consultancy, and opened a new branch for a startup, started his own company. Rocky writes quite often, most notably co-authoring Teach Yourself LotusScript for Notes/Domino 4.6 (MIS Press, 1997). He is also a Technical Editor and writer for Lotus Advisor magazine and a writer for WebSphere Advisor magazine.

Contributor Richard Schwartz is founder of RHS Consulting Incorporated, a Lotus Business Partner and a founding member of the Penumbra Group. He has spent more than nine years as a consultant, architect, and evangelist for Lotus Notes and Domino technology. He was given the Lotus Beacon Award in 1995 for the Most Significant Contribution to the Lotus Notes Industry. He has served as a consultant to Lotus and Iris Associates’ QA teams for Notes R4 and R4.5, as well as NotesView R4, to the product development team for Domino R4.6, and to many Fortune 500 companies. He is a Certified Lotus Professional, past editor of Lotus Solutions Now, and a contributing editor for Lotus Notes Advisor. He has also been a frequent contributor to other Notes-related publications and has spoken at several Domino conferences.
