About the Author

Karl Liebstückel is a professor of information management and business software at the Würzburg-Schweinfurt University of Applied Sciences in Germany. He has more than 30 years of experience with plant maintenance in SAP solutions. Over the course of his career, Dr. Liebstückel has gained extensive practical experience in more than 70 plant maintenance projects. He was a member of the executive board of the German SAP User Group (DSAG) from 2003 to 2012, and its chairman from 2007 to 2012. Furthermore, he presided over its Plant Management and Service Management work group from 2001 to 2008.

Dr. Liebstückel owns his own consulting company and is the author of several books on the topic of logistics. Previously, he worked at SAP AG for 13 years in the areas of development, consulting, and training for plant maintenance and service management.
