About the Author

Joseph Boccuzzi, Ph.D., is a Principal Systems Design Scientist with Broadcom Corp. He previously worked as an architect and a technical director at Infineon/Morphics Technology, a senior technical manager at Cadence Design Systems, a member of the technical staff at AT&T Bell Labs, a design engineer at Motorola, and an engineer at Eaton Corp. Dr. Boccuzzi also teaches graduate-level courses in electrical engineering; has written numerous articles and papers for the IEEE, AT&T, and international conferences; holds over 15 domestic and international patents; and has made public presentations to various organizations worldwide.
