Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) is not about individuals being allowed to connect their personal devices on to the company’s network. BYOD is about giving them the ability to use technology they are used to, while ensuring that corporate data remains safe. Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) in BYOD devices does not access the corporate network, instead it should access the VDI infrastructure directly. The biggest concern for any Chief Information Officer (CIO) is if the company’s data will be affected when BYOD users connect to corporate network.
