As a manager, you have an essential role to play in helping prevent harassment and bullying in the workplace. By meeting specific responsibilities, you can support your organisation's compliance with federal, territory and state laws designed to protect employees from unlawful behaviour in the workplace. You can also help promote a culture of inclusion, respect and fairness in your workplace. In this course, you'll learn what harassment and bullying involve and the potential consequences of these behaviours. You'll be introduced to the rights underpinning the laws that your organisation must uphold to protect workers from harassment and bullying, and you'll learn about your responsibilities as a manager – including what you can do to prevent workplace harassment and bullying, and how to respond appropriately if it does occur. This course was developed with subject matter support provided by the law firm of Jackson McDonald.
