The prevalence of mental illness, both in and outside the workplace, is increasing and the impacts are far reaching. Knowing how to help those around you or find help yourself is very important. You can play a vital part in helping a colleague, friend, or family member suffering from mental health through the use of first aid that aims to increase awareness of this illness. By understanding the signs and symptoms, and having knowledge of the options for appropriate treatment, you can assist others in coping with this condition. This course will teach you why good mental health is important, and give you a greater understanding of the signs and symptoms of mental illness, workplace triggers, and the ways in which you can provide the necessary support.
