According to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, or FMCSA, collisions at intersections alone account for 45% of all reported crashes and 21% of fatalities. Intersections are just one of many common hazards you may encounter every day. In order to safely negotiate the hazards you come into contact with, you must be familiar with the procedures and precautions to take. In this course, you will learn about what you need to do to safely negotiate turns and merging, intersections, downgrades, and railroad crossings.
