Ending Support for Internet Explorer

Skillsoft previously announced the end of support for Internet Explorer 11 as of September 7, 2021. Since September 7, learners using Internet Explorer may have encountered a degraded experience, and our customer support team no longer fields questions related to Internet Explorer 11. If your learners or administrators are currently using Internet Explorer, please continue reading to understand how the change impacts your use of Skillsoft products.

IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR SKILLPORT, OLSA, ADVANCED COMPLIANCE, BOOKS 24X7, AND SKILLSOFT COURSE MANAGER (SCM) USERS

Due to the need to address security vulnerabilities, Skillsoft determined that Skillport, and related applications, will cease to function entirely with Internet Explorer 11 as of April 4, 2022. After April 4, Skillport users must use a different browser, such as Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome.

Please note that Skillport did not undergo a formal audit process for accessibility with browsers other than Internet Explorer. Therefore, Skillsoft anticipates users may encounter accessibility issues on such browsers. As Skillsoft is no longer investing in updates to Skillport, OLSA, Advanced Compliance, Books 24x7 and Skillsoft Course Manager, we encourage all customers with a strong need for accessibility to consider the Skillsoft Percipio platform as soon as possible to benefit from its state-of-the-art accessibility features.

While we will make every effort to hold to the date of April 4, 2022, there remains the chance that a need to address additional future security vulnerabilities will force us to discontinue support for Internet Explorer on an earlier date. We promise to communicate such a change promptly.

If you have not already done so, we recommend you share this information with your IT organization to learn about their plans for replacing IE, verify that all users' needs are covered, and inform them of Skillsoft's schedule.
