About the Author

Jeffrey H. Rattiner, CPA, CFP, M.B.A., is president and chief executive officer of the JR Financial Group, Inc., a financial planning, money management, and tax information firm with offices in Centennial, Colorado, and Scottsdale, Arizona. He is also the founder of the nationwide Financial Planning Fast Track educational program that trains advisers to become Certified Financial Planner (CFP) licensees in an accelerated alternative format.

A popular speaker and frequently quoted practitioner, Mr. Rattiner has authored several books including Rattiner'sReview for the CFP Certification Examination Fast Track Study Guide (Wiley, 2003) and Rattiner's Financial Planner's Bible (Wiley, 2002). He writes a monthly column for Financial Planning magazine and has served in director capacities in several industry organizations including the Institute of Certified Financial Planners, the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, and the Personal Financial Planning Division of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Mr. Rattiner received a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) from Bernard M. Baruch College and a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from Hofstra University.
