About the Authors

Eudes Canuto is a business development manager and business processes senior consultant at SAP in SAP PLM consulting. He holds a bachelor s degree in computer science from the Universidade Federal de Pernambuco (Recife, Brazil) and a master s degree in software technology from the Stuttgart University of Applied Sciences (Stuttgart, Germany). Before joining SAP, Mr. Canuto started his career as a software developer and then moved into a consultant role at CENIT AG. He is active as a project manager and solution architect in many international SAP PLM customer projects with a focus on the discrete industry. Mr. Canuto is also responsible for the design and build of the SAP Model Company and has been involved in the development of SAP PLM solutions for change and process management.

Dr. Bernd Daum joined SAP in 2001 in the area of SAP PLM consulting; he is primarily active in automotive and mechanical engineering industries. After completing his engineering studies, he earned his doctoral degree at the Technical University of Darmstadt in the Department of Computer Integrated Design with Prof. Dr.-Ing R. Anderl. After joining SAP AG, he was responsible for product structure and change management implementation projects in major OEMs in the automotive industry. Since the introduction of the SAP PLM 7 solution, he has helped customers in different industries as a solution architect, and played a key role in building the SAP Model Company.

Michael Rödel has been working in different SAP PLM roles at SAP since 2004. After graduating with a degree in information systems at Leipzig University, he worked in development for integrated Product and Process Engineering (SAP iPPE) and SAP PLM 7. In his role as solution architect, he has supported numerous SAP customers in the automotive industry, implementing product development solutions and establishing an SAP portfolio of PPM consulting solutions. Mr. Rödel has also worked at Mieschke Hofmann und Partner (MHP) on variant configuration and product structure management, which has deepened his knowledge in these processes and tools.
