Ron has taught at Utrecht University, the Netherlands, and held a distinguished visiting professorship at the School of Business, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.

In 1994, Ron received the instructional technology re- search award from the American Society for Training and Development, and in 1995, he was recognized for his scholarly contributions to the HRD field by the Academy of Human Resource Development.
