Private investors and business entities lose millions of dollars every year to fraudulent schemes, such as embezzlement, false insurance claims, investment scams, and double billing. Through stepped-up government regulations and tough anti-fraud laws, the business world has come a long way in cracking down on fraud. However, there is still great need for employees at all levels of business to be vigilant in their efforts to detect, report, and prevent fraud and abuse of all kinds. This course provides an introduction to the concepts surrounding fraud and abuse in the business setting. You will learn what constitutes fraud and abuse, what the difference is between them, and your responsibilities as an employee to prevent fraud and abuse in your workplace.
