Skillsoft’s Live Events, our premiere series of keynotes, invites learners to invest their time; to further their knowledge, to unleash their edge. Delivered by leading experts, authors, and game-changers alike, learners will be immersed in an experience like no other.

Considered a powerful learning tool and leveraged by Fortune 500 companies and other leading organizations across the globe, Skillsoft’s Live Events inspire individuals and leaders, bringing teams together to spur innovation and catapult organizations forward.

In 2020, over 22,000 learners around the world tuned in live to gain insights from Vanessa Van Edwards, Jay Conger, Tasha Eurich, Heidi Grant, Natalie Nixon, and Shane Snow.

Now in its 13th year at Skillsoft, I am delighted to announce the 2021 Skillsoft Live Event lineup:

On February 23rd, we kick off our series with Juliette Kayyem, homeland security expert and on-air national security analyst for CNN. In her session, Adaptive Recovery: Learning to Live and Manage Amidst Challenging Times, Kayyem will provide an overview of this global pandemic within a crisis management framework and how to strategize within this period of adaptive recovery. Adaptive recovery requires adaptation daily, and the need to settle a battle rhythm as we move forward.

Author of The Technology Fallacy: How People Are the Real Key to Digital Transformation, Gerald (Jerry) Kane, joins us on
March 25th. Kane’s session, The Transformation Myth: Leading Your Organization Into an Uncertain Future, Kane will argue that transformation is not a one-and-done event, rather a continuous process of adapting to a volatile and uncertain environment. Drawing on five years of research into digital disruption — including a series of more than 50 interviews with business leaders conducted during the COVID-19 crisis — Kane offers a framework for understanding disruption and tools for navigating it.

On April 13th, we are thrilled to host leadership and strategy expert and author of the forthcoming book, The Power of Pressure: Why Pressure Isn’t the Problem, It’s the Solution, Dane Jensen. According to Jensen, pressure is an inevitable part of the human journey. Viewers will understand the three components of the pressure equation, how to nail your peak pressure moments, and how to thrive over the long haul. It’s mastering these skills that will allow you to take the key moments that define your career and find joy along the journey.

We round out the Spring series on June 8th with Shannon Polson, one of the first women to fly Apache combat helicopters in the U.S. Armed Forces and author of The Grit Factor: Courage, Resilience, and Leadership in the Most Male-Dominated Industry in the World. In her session, The Grit Factor: Courage, Resilience and Leadership, Polson will discuss her commit-launch-learn framework using this as a backdrop to advise learners how a leader’s internal work on story and purpose forms the foundation for grit and the mindset necessary to build grit and resilience.

Joining us on October 5th isLucy Adams, former HR Director of the BBC and author of HR Disrupted. Join in as Adams presents her case in Creating a Better Normal for how leaders and HR professionals can make sure they don’t just go back to normal – but use the crisis to springboard into something better – a better normal. Viewers will learn how HR and leadership practices need to change fundamentally to keep pace with the needs of our organizations and our people.

We wrap up the 2021 Live Event series on December 8th with Jez Rose. An award-winning writer and co-host of the popular podcast Roots, Wings & Other Things. In his session titled Nature, Nurture, Rose will outline eleven powerful and practical models for embracing chance based on our innate relationship with nature to enhance performance, collaboration, and culture.
