Oh, the places you'll go during National Reading Month! This month-long celebration of all things literary is the perfect time to rediscover your love of books and celebrate the joy of reading.
One of the most beloved authors in the world of children's literature is none other than Dr. Seuss. With his whimsical characters, silly rhymes, and colorful illustrations, Dr. Seuss has captured the hearts and imaginations of readers young and old for generations. In fact, National Reading Month is celebrated in March to coincide with Dr. Seuss's birthday on March 2nd. And what better way to celebrate his legacy than by taking a journey through his magical world of words?
While reading books is always a fantastic way to celebrate, there are plenty of other ways to get in on the fun. Here are some unique ways to celebrate National Reading Month:
- Visit your local library - when is the last time you let yourself get lost in the stacks?
- Attend a book signing or a public reading by an author at your favorite bookstore.
- Post a "shelfie" on your social media - just snap a photo of your bookshelf, or arrange some books you've read or want to read.
- Host a book swap - ask everyone to bring a book to exchange
