Adequate and accurate measurement systems are vital to the success of any data collection and analysis when striving for business process improvement. And they're critical to the overall success of any Lean or Lean Six Sigma initiatives in an organization. They can then inform decisions about process improvement, process control, and process design. This course will present measurement system analysis. Specifically, you'll explore how to address the precision and accuracy of your system. You'll also learn how to carry out various calculations and analysis, such as gauge repeatability and reproducibility study. This course is aligned with ASQ's 2015 Six Sigma Green Belt Body of Knowledge.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

  • Distinguish between accuracy and precision
    Identify types of correlation
    Distinguish between types of variation
List the steps to perform a gr&r study
Interpret data from a given gauge repeatability and reproducibility study
Calculate a precision to tolerance ratio
  • Identify best practices in conducting a bias study
    Calculate and interpret bias
    Identify attributes of linearity
Calculate linearity and interpret a linearity plot
Recognize situations when you would use percent agreement to assess a measurement system
Interpret numeric output from a given percent agreement analysis
