Leadership & Business Skills: December 2021 Releases and 90-day Development Plan

December was another busy month for the Skillsoft Leadership and Business content team. We’re pleased to continue to bring you relevant and engaging content designed for the modern, digital learner. From courses and events to digital books and a book club, there’s something for every learner.

Our last Live Event of 2021 featured Jez Rose. Titled, "Nature, Nurture," Jez presented eleven powerful and practical models for embracing change as a tool to actively adapt, evolve and grow, based on our innate relationship with nature to enhance performance, collaboration and culture. He discussed how change remains a significant cause of anxiety and disengagement in business, and shared his experience working with brands worldwide exploring how to improve the way we think, behave, and ultimately achieve.

Our 2022 Live Events Lineup has been announced! With this series of keynotes, we invite learners to invest their time to further their knowledge and to unleash their edge. Delivered by leading experts, authors, and game-changers alike, our Live Events immerse learners in an experience like no other, bringing teams together to spur innovation and catapult organizations forward. We are delighted to announce the 2022 Skillsoft Live Event lineup, featuring the four thought leaders shown below:

For the last several years, we have proudly partnered with Special Olympics, and the global inclusion movement dedicated to empowering people with intellectual disabilities through sport. Through this partnership, we’ve shown how individuals with intellectual disabilities are left out of the corporate DEI conversation far too often. In December, on International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD), we were thrilled to introduce two brand-new courses designed to continue fostering this critical conversation in the workplace: Embracing the Power of Diversity and Inclusion featuring Special Olympics,” and “Great Leaders Must Be Inclusive featuring Special Olympics.

Embracing the Power of Diversity and Inclusion featuring Special Olympics

Available on our Percipio platform, our Skillsoft YouTube page and on the DEI resources pages on the Skillsoft website here, these courses feature Special Olympics athletes, employees, board members, and partners as they share compelling stories of how they fought for — and shaped — a welcoming workplace. Hear from athlete Kiera Byland, as she voices her excitement on the potential impact of these courses. We also continue to release titles into our new 25-course curriculum intended to educate learners about the skills required to become a Senior Professional in Human Resources®, as they prepare for the HRCI® SPHR® certification exam. HR Certification Institute® is the premier credentialing organization for the human resources profession. Available for U.S. operations, the SPHR® certification solidifies one’s credibility as an HR leader. We’ll continue to release courses each month so that the entire 25-course curriculum will be available by January 31, 2021. Find our more in our blog here.

Our new 5-course DEI curriculum has been popular and quite well received. In addition, we are pleased to announce that we have an additional five new English DEI courses planned for availability in late January/early February, as shown below (Localized versions are planned for later in the year):
