COURSES INCLUDED

Getting to know the application
To get the best results out of the Microsoft Teams communication and collaborative tool, it is important to start with an overview of the app. You will learn how to search, sign in, and sign out of Teams, and also navigate the interface or set up your profile and notifications preferences in this 7-video course. Begin by learning how to open the app and sign in and out, and then explore and navigate the Microsoft Teams interface. You will discover teams and channels, which you can create or be added to, in order to be able to communicate and share with other people on the same channel. Explore how to configure your profile and status in Teams; find, filter, and manage notifications; and customize notifications you receive from Teams, which helps you manage how many you receive and in what form. The course concludes by demonstrating how to configure your account settings, where you can change the app's theme, choose whether to autostart the app or not, and choose the app language.

Using Teams & Channels
In this 10-video course, learners discover how to create teams and channels, configure Teams settings such as the logo, description, and channels, and manage team members, roles, and access. Begin the course by observing how to join and leave a Microsoft team, and then explore how to create different types of teams. This leads into configuring team settings and managing the teams you have, for example, editing team information, changing the logo, and deleting, archiving, and restoring teams. Examine how to manage team members, by, for example, changing team members' roles, and removing owners or members. Create and manage channels to help optimize your teams by directing conversations to specific groups or channels, and also learn how to edit, delete, and manage channels. Explore how to add and invite members to teams and manage requests; use team commands to speed up navigation, and use keyboard shortcuts. Finally, the course covers adding connectors, which push an app's rich content into your channel to help your team stay in sync and get more done.

Communicating via the App
You can communicate in several ways with other Microsoft Teams members. This 6-video course, which focuses on sending messages in Teams, begins by demonstrating how to compose and edit messages. You can send a message from any channel created in a Team, so the post will be visible for all members of that channel, and respond to specific messages within a conversation thread. Next, take a look at the private chat option, the chat interface, and how to send and receive private messages to either one participant or to small groups of people. In addition to one-on-one chats, you will also learn how to create and manage a group discussion. Explore how to find, send, and configure emails in a channel, and then onto managing your messages by saving, marking, and deleting them. The course concludes by focusing on how to manage your conversations in order to stay organized, by, for example, pinning important chats and hiding chats that you no longer need in your list.
